We were engaged to deploy a safety-critical collision awareness system (CAS) on a mine site that consisted of 300 heavy and light machines. Delivered within the tight timeframe, the solution we implemented has significantly reduced the risk of collisions and incidents.
The challenge
An operational technology (OT) wireless network solution provides the functionality required to enable sustainable equipment operation in an autonomous mining environment. We were engaged to deliver end-to-end management of the design, procurement, and implementation of optimising the wireless OT network at our client’s mine site to minimise the network impact on their autonomous fleet.
Our approach
We managed the project by working with our client’s vendor contractor partners to complete the engineering design, procurement, and commissioning of the network. We also engaged rigging vendors to deliver high risk riggings works onsite. Finally, we managed the procurement and storage of the equipment to optimise the project cost and schedule.
The results
The project has been successfully tracking on schedule and cost despite global supply chain issues that delayed the procurement of equipment.
