Transition To Operation

The challenge

The Mount team was engaged to implement the sustainable end-to-end transition of an autonomous haulage project to the relevant operational and maintenance teams. Prior to our engagement, the project had no sustainable processes as part of its operational readiness phase to sustain project outcomes post-handover.

Our approach

We engaged the relevant support teams, including the operations, maintenance, and technology teams, to develop a comprehensive integrated transition to operations solution. The scope focused on the people, processes and systems model, including the development of an operating model, training, asset integrity, service design, and commercial contracts.

We developed the transition to operations process with a focus on mapping out a future support model and operational costs to ensure the solution’s sustainability.

The results

The successful implementation of the transition to operations process has enabled the relevant support team to sustainably maintain the solution and ensure maximum system reliability and availability. Mean time between failures has been maximised and mean time to repair has been minimised.
